Location Sound – Behind the Scenes – Hallmark Movie “USS Christmas”

Back in September of 2019, I had the opportunity to do some location sound BTS work with a local crew during production of the Hallmark Channel’s upcoming movie USS Christmas.  Part of the filming took place on board the USS Yorktown, a Charleston fixture located at Patriot’s Point in Mount Pleasant, SC.  The movie debuted on November 28th, 2020 and will continue to air through this year’s Christmas season.  Filming on board an aircraft carrier can present some location sound challenges due to the nature of the environment, but the movie crew did a great job of working with the historic landmark.  It’s always nice to see a part of the local landscape on the silver screen.
